We were looking for a restaurant that will open late and found the BoneFish Grill. We ordered Mussels Josephine, Maryland Crab Cakes, Jumbo Sea Scallops & Shrimp, and also an appetizer with weird name. Everything we ordered was pretty good except for the one that I don't even remember its name. That's a seafood dish that has scallops and shrimps that marinated in citrus overnight. We literally had just one bite and decided not to continue eating it. The waiter saw it and was nice enough to take it off our bill. The Maryland Crab Cakes were the best crab cakes I ever had with chunk and chunk of real crab meat, totally worth the money we paid. Mussels Josephine tasted great too. The total bill came out to be $52 dollars for the food, creme brulee and a bottle of beer we ordered. Great price great experience overall.

The absolute worst dining and service experience we have ever endured. Hostesses were overtly gossiping terrible things about the servers. Bartender didn't know what kind of vodka they serve (a basic question). Cocktail was over poured and too strong with a single piece of melted ice. Two parties near us walked out. We watched an elderly woman and her friends trying to have a nice birthday dinner, but were completely neglected by the server staff. We heard another two-top table ask the wait staff why service was so bad and random people kept asking them the same questions at their table. The response? A waiter said they were on, "tip share" and "nobody has to try hard." We stuck it out because we were so hungry. Not even a busy night, but server still forgot a wine order, then forgot to place our appetizer order, so we never received it even though entrees took an hour and were cold, but vegetables were boiling hot. One item was dangerously uncooked. Inexperienced manager (said he had been there since June, but was sweating and couldn't form words very well). As someone who is very good friends with numerous independent restauranteurs, thousands of service industry professionals, and culinary critics for over 30 years, I know when a dining experience is going wrong and exactly why it happens. Unfortunately, I do not see any way for improvement here due to what appears to be a complete lack of professional investment by the front of the house and contempt for me, the customer. Service begins in the heart, but this establishment has no heart. I'll look at this restaurant's City of Little Rock public gross tax receipts and I bet I see a sharp decline in sales and revenue. I will certainly never hire a server with this establishment on their resume. Note: The manager agreed that they screwed up all night with us and attempted to comp the meal and only charge for one glass of wine, but I insisted I pay the full amount. Why? Zeroing a guest ticket is never a way to repair a patron's experience with a dining establishment. It's the worst thing a manager can do. I wanted him to understand that money had nothing to do with ruining my evening. No amount of money was going to compensate for this terrible dining experience that was 100% preventable. All it needed was an actual manager and a service staff with heart. This is just my personal opinion.

Waitstaff typically spot-on awesome, management check in.... Weirdly, their reception seems to be lacking most of the time; as if the clientele is an inconvenience & "crap - where can I put these people??" Everyone knows the Bang-Bang is amazing, but their lobster is great as well. Bar drinks are always spectacular - a treat.

Good food, good service. It's a little pricey for someone on a budget, but you won't go away hungry. We had the Bang Bang Shrimp tacos and the Sirloin and Crab Cake dinner. Tacos were great and come with a choice of sides - we had house chips. The sirloin was cooked perfectly - the crab cake was tasty but seemed to fall apart a little and was mushy. Was hoping it would have been a little more dense. All-in-all a wonderful meal. The restaurant is a little dark (with a dark ceiling) - but it was quiet and the service was good. Thanks BG!

Ok...so my sweetie received an email from Bonefish advertising the $6 Bang-Bang Shrimp Wednesday special. Texted me immediately that we had to go last night after work before the offer expires. He had no idea that it's been a regular Wednesday thing for years. We went back last night and was delighted that we had the same waitress (Erica M). She had advised that we should try dinner next time but make a reservation. VERY GOOD ADVICE for Bang-Bang Wednesdays. 5:45 reservation and we couldn't find a parking space. It was packed but our table was ready. Of course we ordered Bang-Bang Shrimp again (×2), neither of us wanted to share an order this time. We also ordered Wagyu Beef & Ginger Potstickers. Absolutely fabulous. And with the dinner menus they bring hot bread with oil/pesto for dipping. We doubled that too. Erica remembered us and remembered my Hot Mint Tea. Again, she was delightful, service was great, food was delicious and we left with stomach aches (ate too much). Very different atmosphere from a weekend lunch visit. Much more festive and extremely crowded. We'll be back next Wednesday (my sweetie already said so)

Okay. I don't recommend eating here to foodies but for budgeteers, the food is decent. I won't be returning. The flavor of the food is just okay. I went with a friend and our plates were dirty. The server wasn't helpful and failed to go over the specials.

Went here while out shopping on a Saturday afternoon. Quick service & the staff was very helpful. Husband had the Tacos & I had the Orange Roughy special. Then we both had the Chocolate Creme Brûlée. Should have shared one. This is bigger than a normal Creme Brûlée and extremely rich. But it was very good. Would definitely go back here.

We've been there 3-4 times and have always only sat at the bar and had the bar menu. Never have we been disappointed. Bang bang shrimp is a must, and also enjoy the crab cakes and crab bisque. My boyfriend loves the potstickers. Drinks are always good... Probably the best blue cheese dirty martini I've ever had. The white cranberry Cosmo was also something I'll have again when I go back. Love the atmosphere as well as the food and drinks. Never disappointed.

We had a great meal. I love their potstickers appetizer. My Caesar salad was excellent. The Chilean Sea Bass was delicious! Corey the manager was very attentive, coming by our table to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. For dessert, both the Key Lime pie, and the Molten Chocolate were divine! Love this place!

My wife and I ate at Bonefish last night as part of a group celebrating a friend's birthday. We had reservations for 6:30, party of eight. When we arrived, they asked us to wait in the bar area while they rearranged the tables. While waiting, I bought two martinis for my wife and a friend - $21 for two drinks. It was a Thursday night, and not at all crowded, but it took 45 minutes for the staff to prepare a table for us. Our group ordered several appetizers, which arrived in good time and were all very good. When it came time to order the main course, things turned comical. There was one child in our party, but her mother was told by the waiter that they had run out of everything on the kids' menu, and he suggested several of the main dishes that she might like. I ordered Parmesan Encrusted Rainbow Trout, and the waiter told me they were out of that item. Then, I ordered the Ribeye Steak, and they were out of that, as well. He blamed their stock outages on the ice storm that happened eight days ago. Really? On my third attempt, Fish and Chips, i got lucky. Another friend at our table also ordered something they didn't have, and had to settle for a second choice. After all was said and done, everyone liked their food. The bill was properly split three ways, but I was surprised at the cost. For three of us, it was $121. All-in-all, not a very satisfying experience.

The bang bang shrimp is a life changing experience. The wait staff is always very charming, knowledgable, and helpful. The drinks are divine and the food is really fresh tasting and good! The reason I rate this restaurant three stars is because while the food and service is great, the price tag is excessive. Also, there are many fantastic local restaurants that offer better versions of almost every menu item. Big Orange Burger offers superior burgers at a lower cost, Capers provides top notch seafood for a similar cost, and drinks and apps at Ciao Baci far surpass Bonefish's. In short, I don't recognize the niche Bonefish fills for Little Rock, and I never leave feeling the meal was a good value for the money.

Outstanding food. Horrible service. They once advertised Swordfish on the radio, which I love, when I asked where it was on the menu they didn't have it. Last 3 times I have gone they have been out of my first selected beer choice. Our waiter yesterday 8/17/14 acted as if we were deadbeats. Served tables that sat after us first and noticeable overlooked us. Salad came before our water even made it and our orders were not right. If you enjoy service this restaurant gets an F. However if you enjoy fish it's spot on.

Went here with my wife on a date night. We had Bang Bang Shrimp for apps and I had grilled Sea Bass for my main course. We ended the night with a dessert and shared a bottle of wine. I have go to say this was the best seafood I've had in Little Rock. It was a bit pricey but was worth every penny of it. Our waiter was great and gave me a good suggestion for wine to pair with our meals and the ambiance was very conducive to a nice date dinner.

Dieters are most welcomed here. As for me, I'm avoiding breads, potatoes, and pasta, so this place is more than perfect for my type of diet. I had the "New" Spicy Ahi Tuna Bowl at ruffle 350 calories. Really quite filling and a multitude of taste to be experienced. Center stage is an icecream scoop of Jasmine rice, surrounded with a small amount of raw carrots topped seasoned with crushed red pepper (not to hot-just right), 1/4 of an avocado sliced, and about 3-4oz of seared Ahi Tuna sliced and topped with a chili sauce. I first tried each idem by itself, and enjoyed each one for its own flavor and texture. Then starts my taste experiment by adding a few selection together on my fork. Only way to describe it is a Taste Cornucopia. All this and around 350 calories, will have me coming back. Moreover the service from Zach welcoming me in and guiding me the most perfect table, to the patients of Gus who waited on me while I worked out the math on my dinner selections for calories, to Taylor (the owner) coming by to double check on my satisfaction with my meal will 100% guarantee many returns and recommendations from me. It also earned them a coveted 5star rating by someone who looks at more than the food when looking for a great dinning experience wherever he goes.

I came here on July 5, 2013 to celebrate the husband's birthday. We were a group of four and arrived around 9pm. We ordered the bang bang shrimp and ceviche as appetizers, both were excellent and a large enough portion for the 4 of us to share. As entrees we ordered two different kinds of fish with the chimmichuri sauce, the tilapia stuffed with crab and the fish and chips. Everyone's fish was delicious and the sides that came with them were great too - can't remember what all they were, but the mashed potatoes stood out in particular. At one point I asked for extra sauce and the chef had gone home for the night (since we had arrived close to closing) and the waitress said that the manager had started making a fresh batch for me! I told her that wasn't necessary, but I felt that was a step above for the manager to offer to do that, rather than just saying the kitchen was closed. The only con I can think of is that they had said they would give us a free dessert for the occasion but forgot...we probably should have passed on it anyway considering how stuffed we were though! I definitely recommend this location to any seafood lovers out there.

So I love this restaurant and have gone to it since I was young, but tonight I decided to take my spouse who had never been before. We are a young couple with a baby and didn't dress up, so most servers would stereotype us, but we have both been servers and tip well unless we get terrible service. Which is what we got tonight. She seemed over-the-top friendly. She didn't bring bread which comes with the meal and asked us if we wanted it, then forgot until my spouse reminded her when our meal came. Didn't refill my water until then either, it had been sitting empty a good 10 minutes and not seen her once. The food was fabulous as always. She then shouted to her friends to wait for her then went out to smoke. She came back smelling terribly of smoke and that was just the cherry on top.

I always order the bang bang shrimp, awesome as an appetizer or a meal. The drinks are divine and the food is really fresh tasting and good! However, they are pricey and can be a little snobbish. I usually only go for happy hour to cut some of the cost too

You can never go wrong dining at Bonefish. I love their Bang Bang Shrimp and Ahi Tuna. The only reason why I didn't give this location 5 stars is because of the lack of service. On numerous occasions, I had to ask for another drink....not a very friendly staff.

Visiting my grandmother in Arkansas, we had a party of 20 to celebrate her birthday. While we had 6 kids under the age of 4, we never felt embarrassed or looked down on for having children in a nicer restaurant. The service was friendly albeit a bit slow. The food was good (fish was fresh) - Tilapia with Asian glaze. I did not like how dark the restaurant was kept, but I guess that's more a personal preference. Pretty decent for a chain restaurant. Nice place, but nothing amazing.

Bonefish is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Little Rock. Everything here is delicious and reasonably priced - cocktails, wine, appetizers, soup/salad, entrees, and desserts. The ambiance is just perfect. I frequent this restaurant at least once a month whether alone, with my boyfriend or with a group, and I have never had a bad experience. Just recently, our server was a young gentleman by the name of Michael. He was very prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable about not only the menu items but additional offerings and suggestions as well. For your Birthday, don't expect free dessert or a song. It's not that sort of establishment (and I am thankful). However, you do receive a very classy box of chocolates that are yummo!

Yes, I know it's a chain restaurant (owned by Outback), but it's a GOOD "chain" restaurant. Bang Bang Shrimp and a tasty lemon drop martini. Perfect for after work on hump day! Yum!! It gets crowded at times and sometimes takes 20 minutes to get seated in the dining room, so be prepared. Heck, just hang out in the bar while waiting!! (You'll be fine...)

We had a great experience at Bonefish My sister ordered the fresh apple martini...AMAZING...she drank three. It was made with apples which were marinated in vodka and spices for three months. A thin slice of apple topped off the martini. As an appetizer, we ordered the ceviche which was very refreshing and flavorful. My sister ordered the Seared Ahi (Tokyo Style) and it was very good. It was encrusted with sesame seeds and served on top of jasmine rice. I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken salad. It was also very good. I especially liked the dressing which was made with some kind of garlic infused olive oil. The quality of the food was great, and the price was not bad. This restaurant can definitely get away with pricing the food higher.

Fairly solid restaurant for an upscale chain - I tend to shy away from chains in favor of smaller restaurants, but Bonefish delivers. The saucy shrimp is a must-try appetizer and their salmon is good (though it has not been fully cooked a couple of times I have been - I'm easy to please and the server has taken care of it expediently). The service matches the price point, the atmosphere is very good, and the food has been good most every time I have ordered. It is a great place for groups if you want to venture out and not go to the usual fast-casuals. If there are glitches, the servers deal with them promptly. They do a very good job overall. I'd give them 4.25 stars if it were an option .

I like the atmosphere. I like the service. I LOVE the Bang, Bang Shrimp appetizer!! The entrees however are mediocre. I've been here more than a dozen times for everything except the entrees. I've tried numerous ones, including a chicken dish, fish sampler, and sea bass special. Nothing I've had has ever been so good that I can't wait to come back and eat it again. That being said, the Bang, Bang appetizer is always a must. Most times, I just go and order that with a side salad and have a full meal. Many of their drinks I've had are also very good. I love that they have a selection of five dollar cocktails on an all day, every day basis. Bonefish is a great date location and me and my now husband used to frequent this place quite often when we were "courting". =) Ha! I think it can get quite crowded on weekend nights but they do accept reservations so that's a good thing. If you live out in West Little Rock and haven't given this a try, then go, try it now! Seriously, what are you waiting for? It's not as pricey as you would think and it's a nice time out. Just don't forget the Bang, Bang Shrimp! Ok, I may be just a tad bit obsessed ;)

For everyone needing a geography lesson, Little Rock is in the middle of the country, about 8 hours from the ocean/Gulf. Ergo I'm naturally suspicious of eating at a fish place so far from the beautiful briny sea. That being said, the fish I had at Bonefish was very good! Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Bonefish is known for serving fish with four different sauces and since I didn't know which fish to pair with each sauce my waiter made some great suggestions. Aside from our waiter being overly concerned about the amount of bread in our breadbasket (to the point of neurosis) it was one of the best dinners I have had in Little Rock. One word of advice, order the bang bang shrimp it is good, not the calamari. I am a big fan of calamari but I have had better elsewhere.

  • Mark H.

When I look at concept restaurants and their lay out, I usually never have a problem with the attire of the wait staff. I have one problem with the Bonefish's uniforms. Why do you have your wait staff wearing Chef's Jackets? If it is to express that they are knowledgeable of food and service, then I think the creators of this concept take a look at their menu. When I order sashimi tuna, the last thing I expect to be brought to the table is a seared tuna encrusted in black sesame seeds. Like a YELP from PF Changs I wrote years ago, I find it lazy and degrading for a restaurant to serve a pre ordered seared tuna dish and besides, sashimi is raw not seared and raw in the center. Back to the Chef's Jackets. As a Chef, we hold our jackets as a badge of honor. Many hours of sweat and hard hours of prep in a blue apron were put in before we would even think about wearing a Chef's jacket in a restaurant kitchen. For a waiter to come to your table wearing a chef's jacket lets one know that they are more about flare than they are about tradition. The dishes that we had were tasty but nothing that made me stand up and take notice. For the price you are paying one would expect something other than typical. Before the pre-pan seared tuna dish arrived, I had ordered a Guinness. Once again, the last thing I would expect was this question. "Our Guinness is in a bottle or can." Since I have had the can before and found them to be better than the bottles, I chose the can. Why cant restaurants serve things the way they were meant to be served? I will say this, the Bang Bang Shrimp was very good. The shrimp were a bit small but they were flavorful. If I had to guess, they were 31/40 shrimp. That being 31/40 shrimp per pound bag. Almost popcorn shrimp size. The flavor was much larger than the shrimp itself. Over all, the experience was enjoyable. We only had time for a few drinks because we were meeting friends at Bar Louie for dinner.

everything i've ever had here is yum yum yummy. top choices are: mussels josephine and bang-bang shrimp. worst item so far: kobe beef burger (not good, always dry, overpriced, you'll get a better burger at chili's all day long). they do take reservations, and i suggest making them. if you don't, prepare to stand around in the way too small waiting area for 1-2 hours, on any night of the week. i'm pretty sure that if they opened up a 2nd one right next door they would both always be full.

Reliable spot to grab a drink and appetizers. I recommend the ocean trust martini, and the bang bang shrimp. Positives: Ambiance Bar Good menu Negatives: Some entrees take second place to the appetizers Full bar once ran out of vermouth... at 5:30pm.

Went for my birthday - first time. I agree that the Bang, Bang Shrimp appetizer is divine. Drinks were good. Got the salmon and the hubs got the trout. Both were excellent. Atmosphere and service were good. Great restaurant for a special occasion or anytime.

Went here for the second time with my girls for a birthday-night! We all had plenty to drink, and all the frinks were great! My favorite was the Black Cherry Guava Mojito aka heaven in a glass! It's expensive, but oh-so-good! We all shared the bang-bang shrimp appetizer (which was SOOOOO good). Two of the girls I was with liked them so much they orders the bang bang tacos for dinner. I usually hate shrimp, but these were amazing. Soooo, you should try it. Do it. For dinner I ordered the Kobe Beef Burger. I'm not usually a hamburger kinda girl... but I had never tried Kobe beef before and wanted to. It didn't taste any different to me, which was a bummer since it was an $11 burger :-/ The steamed veges that I ordered as a side were delish... crisp and lightly seasoned. For dessert we all shared the macadamia nut brownie with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream... which was another version of heaven!!! Our server was GREAT! He split our bill perfectly, which was no easy task, our cups were never empty for more than a few minutes, and he answered all our questions (even telling us that the Bee's Knees Martini was gross and we shouldn't try it!). We all had a great experience. All I can say is.... bang bang shrimp.
